Best Way to Get to Kauapea Beach

There are plenty of great hotels to stay about 20 minutes from Kauapea Beach. The easiest way to get to the beach is to take Kuhio Highway past Kilauea and make sure you are turning onto kalihiwai road when you see it. Follow the road for about 50 yards and then turn right into an unmarked dirt road. Proceed to the end and park. Nearby is the footpath leading to the west end of the beach. The steep trail can be a little much for some people so be prepared. At the end of the trail is 3000 feet of natural Hawaii Beach and nature.
