Parking at Hapuna Beach

There is ample parking space at Hapuna beach, however, it is not free. There is a five dollar per visitor vehicle parking fee. Hapuna beach concession charges 1 to 7 passenger vehicles ten dollars daily or 8 to 25 passenger vehicles twenty dollars daily. This is a main tourist location so you may find buses parked there as well. All buses that hold over twenty-five passengers are only charged forty dollars per day.

Places To Stay Near Hapuna Beach

Hapuna beach is visited by thousands of guests each year. Many guests decide to stay at The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort. Other guests decide to stay at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel because it is only a short drive away. If you decide to stay that the Mauna beach hotel you can visit both beaches on one vacation. Another popular hotel for visitors is the Villages at Mauna Lani.

How To Get There

If you are traveling to Hapuna beach you should travel to the Northwest side of the island. Hapuna beach is located on the coast of Kohala. If you are driving your car you need to take a left at the access road before mile marker number 69. If you travel to market 69 you have gone too far and should turn around. Most people decide to rent a car when traveling to Hapuna beach because from there you can take a short drive to various other beaches and see all that Hawaii has to offer.

If you do not want to rent a car you can take advantage of the shuttle services. If you land in Koa International airport the shuttle should take approximately 50 or 60 minutes to get to Hapuna Beach.
